Fam Jam

True North Berry Farm is the site of the original Hendrickson Berry Farm, which has been continuously operating since 1966. We are very happy to continue this legacy which has been a family tradition for over 50 years.

We're 2nd generation farmers and 1st generation jam-makers. Wayne comes to farming by way of a family dairy operation where he was head milker, laborer and wrangler. Lisa spent summers on the Hendrickson Berry Farm alongside her six siblings. Our 3rd gen, Liam, joined the party when he was about three years old, as chief taster and picker.

Farm dog, Coco, is finding her way on the farm too, sniffing out rabbits, moles and snakes. She loves blueberries too!

Our first artisan jam, True Blue, has a spoonful of Lake Superior in every bite. It's made with our truly superior blueberries and hand-crafted in small batches using locally sourced ingredients like Boreal Juniper Gin made by a local distillery.

Fifty years ago, the Hendrickson family planted their first blueberry bushes near the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Despite the long, harsh UP winters, the berry crop prospered, benefitting from the warming influence known as the “lake effect.” Today, these original heirloom plants are still producing tasty luscious berries.
